Currently pixelfed allows images but video is denied via upload. Will it ever support other types of media or will it strictly be images only. Anyone know?
Pixelfed does support video, you need to update the .env MEDIA_TYPES variable.
Example .env variable: MEDIA_TYPES='image/jpeg,image/png,image/gif,video/mp4'

Yes, those are the only supported formats at the moment.
